Updates from Kansas, Surge week starts tomorrow!

Yesterday in Baldwin City, Sara and the kids came along with me. A group of 25-30 went out to distribute flyers for the upcoming kids clubs at Baldwin Gospel Chapel. Many folks were home and were engaged in conversation, opening the doors to share the Gospel. Originally, we thought we had about 1000 homes to visit, but instead we distributed over 1200 flyers. We don't mind a miscount when it means we get to reach more people. A great time of fellowship after around the table, and our family stayed to visit until about 9pm with a few of the young people.

Today, Nathanael Pena will join Mark again, visiting a young man that is seeking answers about God. This young man was reached via our door to door work. Praise the Lord for all He has done, is doing, and will do! We ask for prayer in all these things, that many would partner with us before the throne  of grace. We know that there is a battle for the souls of men and women, and we pray that the distractions of the enemy and the cares of life do not keep people from seeing the desperate need to be made right before God, to be reconciled with the Father that made them.

It is a sobering thought as I read the obituaries in the local newspapers. Do we really realize that the 5 people that died right here in Ottawa this past week. Some destined for eternal life in Christ, some eternal death in Hell without God. One baby, one young boy, and three older folks have taken their last breath on this earth. I don't want any of them to slip through our hands, we want to reach them all.

What about your home town? What are you doing to reach the lost before their eternal destination is finalized?  Until that last breath, everyone has the chance to repent and trust in Christ. One second after death, it is all over. Let us not allow anyone to leave this earth without us showing them the truth. Let us proclaim the Savior of the world and the life in Him that is a free gift to anyone who will believe.  Proclaim the glorious beauty of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior while there is stilll time.
