Romans 11

Today's Bible discussion of Romans 11 has left us echoing the words of the apostle;

"Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
“For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?”
“Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?”
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen."

When we consider the depths of God's mercy upon sinners such as we are, the riches of His grace toward those who deserve nothing, and especially as we see His sovereignty played out in human history, we gain insight into the glory and majesty of God.

See also Psalm 69 and consider the Messianic prophecies and the great love of Christ for ruined sinners. The latter verses of this psalm reveal God's end revealed in Christ;

v. 34-36
"Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and everything that moves in them.
For God will save Zion
and build up the cities of Judah,
and people shall dwell there and possess it;
the offspring of his servants shall inherit it,
and those who love his name shall dwell in it."
