Key West Youth come together in the name of Christ

Tonight, we had a great time at Bayview Park in Key West. A group of young people (20 years being the oldest) got together a bunch of local churches, bands, preachers, and others tonight in Key West. We were there from the start, and enjoyed getting to see the crowd fill in from a few dozen to well over 100, maybe more like 200? people came out in a public place to praise God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Young people shared their testimonies, choirs from multiple churches got together, children played, free food and drink were served, chairs were shared in deference one to another. I was so happy to see

and you shall be My witnesses...

Below is a letter we are adding to our door to door packets for Gospel outreach. While we desire to build up the local church, we know that our personal mission field is also important. We want to get to know our neighbors and let them know that we love them, that God loves them and wants them to have eternal life in Christ. Just an idea we had and wanted to share it. Maybe it will inspire  someone to write such a letter, to open oneself up to be there for their neighbors. Feel free to share thoughts in our comment section.

Dear neighbor,

Our family is new to the neighborhood. We would like to offer this open invitation into our home to our neighbors. We recognize that more often people would rather search out and discuss the truth about God, the Bible, and such things in a private setting. If you have questions about any of the materials we have left with you, we would be happy to sit down and talk it over at a convenient time for you.

We see many examples in the Bible of what we might call “church meetings” primarily being in homes, gathered around a table for a meal, and the daily enjoying and investing in each others lives. At some point, we may have a scheduled weekly study, but for now we simply want to offer that we have most afternoons and evenings open to those who want to drop in for a visit and chat.

The packet of information is offered by the church we work with, Gospel Chapel on Southard Street in Key West. We would welcome anyone to join us for the weekly services at the chapel in Key West, more so we are excited to get to know our community here on Cudjoe Key.

We are also looking for a local church to visit with, maybe Sunday evenings. If you know of a church that we might like to visit, please let us know. We are not out to build “our church” but to introduce people to Jesus Christ, our Savior. We would also love to meet other Christians, so please feel free to write, call, or stop in.
