Maine plans and updates

After a few hard days on the road, we made it safely to Sara'a parents home in Thomaston, Maine. We then had the blessing of gathering with the saints at Grace Fellowship Bible  Chapel in Union, where we had a blessed time remembering our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Ethan Hall then shared a message from God's Word considering the parable of the sower and the children of Israel when they were led out of Egypt by Moses.

This was a great message that continued in conversation much of the day with other folks we spoke with. We had lunch at the chapel, and then came home where the younger children and Sara got a little nap. Supper with Sara's family was next on the agenda, and I got in a few phone calls from friends and colaborers for Christ. It truly was a great day.

We plan to be in Thomaston this week, then leave Saturday for Sorrento, staying at my mother's home and attending services at Bible Baptist Church in Hancock. We will stay for a few days there to visit and to encourage the saints in that area. From Sorrento, we will drive up to Farmington area where I will have the privilege of baptizing a young couple. We will attend their church that Sunday, and then head home Labor Day, Lord willing.

Once we arrive back in Thomaston Sept. 5, we have  some plans to meet with local Christians in their homes to plan out door to door Gospel work, to hear what the Lord is doing in their home towns, to pray together and encourage one another in the Gospel work. We are praying about other opportunities, including jail ministry, meals with families, and whatever the Lord opens the doors for.

If you live in the Thomaston area and would  like to come over for a meal, or have us to your home, or any other thing that would be profitable for the Lord, give a call or email us and we will be happy to try our best to fit you in. We still do not have a departure date set, and just want to be used for the Lord's work while we are here. We are praying about a few options and invitations for the winter, but would stay in Maine if that is what God leads us to do. Please be praying with us as we consider His will.
